Everyone has their own ideas about how they want to decorate their homes. Some people like to surround themselves with personal items that they have accumulated along the way. Others like to display art objects that they collect. There are also some people that like to go with the trend of the time, decorating with the cover of a home magazine in mind. No matter how much people agree on other things they do not often agree on decorating. Because of this I was not very excited when a friend of mine asked me to go furniture shopping with her. She was looking for a living room table. I reluctantly agreed to go.



My husband thinks I have good taste in decorating and told me that this is most likely why my friend asked me to come along. He asked me what she meant by a living room table. I told him I was not sure if she meant that she wanted a sofa table to put lamps on, or a coffee table to put in front of the sofa, or an occasional table. I told him that I would find out the next day when I was meeting my friend at the furniture store.



I was caught up in a traffic jam the next morning so I arrived a few minutes later than our agreed upon time. My friend was already in the store looking around. I asked her what kind of living room table she was looking for. She said that she would love to find one like we have at our house. My husband and I have an antique drop leave table ......
