We need more prisons! I've been hearing this spiel from people since I was a small child. .....

There is something about a fire truck that captures the imagination of children. I dont know if its the bright red (or yellow even) that gets them, or if it is the flashing lights, but they seem to love to see them. Perhaps when they see one for the first time, they sense the respect their parents seem to have for firefighters, and it makes them interested to know more. My daughter is fascinated with them, as she is with police cars too. Every time she sees one she squeals in delight and wants to ask a bunch of questions.



Though seeing a fire truck racing down the road with its lights on and horn blaring is never a good omen, children cannot help but be fascinated. Even when my daughter hears the sirens she immediately announces that there is a fire truck ......
